We All have a story to tell
Our PhotoVoice Project
PhotoVoice is a process in which people with statistically limited power due to poverty, race, ethnicity, class, religion, culture or other circumstances use video and/or photographs to capture aspects of their environment and experiences to share with others. The pictures can then be used with captions composed by the photographers if you choose, to help bring the realities of the photographers’ lives home to the public. The concept of PhotoVoice has existed for many years, and Grand Junction Queer and Ally Connection aim in starting a PhotoVoice project is to help those of the LGBTQ and Ally community capture what it's like to be apart of the greater Pride community. Whether you identify as an ally or member of the LGBTQ+ community, we want to hear about your triumphs, struggles, successes, and more. We also want to know how being apart of the western slope community has shaped your outlook on life and view of the community you life in. If you have a story that you are willing to share through pictures, written word, or voice recording please leave us a message below to let us know. We work diligently to read and review each and every single message received.
